Traveler’s notebooks are the perfect way to craft when you are on-the-go! Today’s spread is a simple design that I use quite often: Title and embellishments on one page, and photo with layers on the opposite page
When embellishing on your traveler’s notebooks you must factor in space. Consider focusing on layering when working in your traveler’s notebook. Using pattern papers that already have decorative elements on them is an easy way to embellish without actually breaking out your embellishments. In my spread, I mixed Maggie Holmes’ swan pattern paper from her Gather collection with a text printed pattern papers from Studio Calico. Additionally, I cut the top of tags to use as layering pieces underneath my pattern papers. Lastly, I used tiny word sticker to help establish the significance of the memory I am documenting.
When layering on a traveler’s notebook spread, you must remember that your space is limited. Focus on building upward versus outward. Furthermore, choose small pieces, so your layers do not take up too much of your space. Remember, offsetting the pieces will give the spread depth
Scraplifting this layout should be a breeze! I challenge you to try to recreate it! All you need is 20 minutes. Catch this tutorial out in my video series, “On the Clock,” where I challenge myself to create a layout within 30 minutes. Always remember, it is about documenting the moment! Happy scrapping!
